Perhaps expectations were too high but lunch at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel’s star restaurant was just under the wire. Service was impeccable but oh so slow. The maitre d’ greeted us with warm and friendly gestures. The waiter’s instincts were distinctively accurate throughout the entire meal.
