Club Details

Lambton Golf and Country Club is a private Club located in Toronto.  The Club neighbours with the Humber River, and you can find it near the intersection of Dundas Street West and Scarlett Road.  The Club and its two Courses lie on 171 acres of land that create somewhat of an oasis in the midst of the largest city in Canada.

Course Renovation

Lambton Golf and Country Club's private golf courses have recently undergone thorough renovation after more than a century of its existence.  The new layout was devised and the renovation orchestrated by the well-known course architect Rees Jones.

For the purposes of the renovation, the Club was closed for a year from August 2009 to August 2010, eating away parts of the respective seasons.  It opened for a full season (May-October) again in 2011, albeit with mere 16 holes so far.  In July 2011, the Club plans to complete all work on holes 17 and 18 of the Championship Course and will be ready to welcome its members to a full 18-hole course again.

The new courses have better drainage, longer yardage, and offer more challenge as well.  The Lambton Club has an 18-hole Championship course, as well as a 9-hole Executive course.

Course Details

The Championship course has five tee decks for each hole, and the total yardage varies between roughly 5100 and 7100 yards accordingly.  So many sets of tees allow for an interesting game for returning golfers and golfers of all skill levels.  The greens have more contour and have been enlarged, which allows for more putting strategies.  The fairways in general are wider and allow for more possible combinations to score par.

The Executive Course (also dubbed the Valley Course) at Lambton Golf and Country Club is being renovated alongside the Championship course.  The Executive fairways have also been enhanced, broadened, and re-created to provide great short-game experience.  The renovation of the Valley course should be over in fall 2011.

There is a driving range and a practice area for warm-up and training available to Club members.
