Happy Canada Day!
To celebrate Canada's 142nd Birthday there are many events around the city throughout the day, from the CHIN picnic to fireworks displays...here are just a few of them:
- CHIN Picnic at the CNE grounds: the 43rd Annual CHIN International Picnic is being held at the Exhibition Grounds July 1 and July 4 & 5, 2009. Performances and foods from a multitude of cultures will be available for all to experience, and don't forget to stop at the shopping bazaar with over 100 vendors!
- Canada Day at Ontario Place: play all day at Ontario Place! Performances by Canadian musicians, the West Coast Lumberjack Show and Inuit performers during the day are followed by the Canada Dry Festival of Fire fireworks display.
*Please note that due to the city workers strike many celebrations and fireworks have been cancelled. For more information on events that are still scheduled, please visit: Canada Day Info
