Welcome to Sabatino’s!

Sabatino’s has been a Forest Hill fixture just a stone’s throw from the Eglinton West subway for the past 32 years, but when the polished restaurant opens for these two hungry diners, it’s a very youthful couple that greets us enthusiastically by the door and ushers us into the restaurant’s bright interior. They’re at least thirty years younger than the uniformed waiter who waves us to the cloakroom to hang up our coats.

Chattels Versus Fixtures

Considering Purchase or Sale by Randen Pederson
Need To Know The Difference
by Randen Pederson

Whether you are buying or selling, these are terms you will soon be familiar with. If you are listing your home and want to make sure your custom closet organizer does not go with the house, you need to know the difference.

"If the item is so attached to the home or the property that it requires a tool to remove it, it is a fixture. If it is not attached at all, then it is a chattel."

Rates to Remain Steady by Chris Maureen Gerty
Rates to Remain Steady by Chris Maureen Gerty

The Bank of Canada is sticking to its commitment to hold interest rates at the current level of 0.25% after the latest rate announcement at the end of October. Experts agree it is not the time to change it.

The rate has being maintained at record lows for half a year now and the Bank wants to keep it static at least till June 2010. Low interest rates are the key factor for the housing market rebound and still fuel the solid number of sales realtors are experiencing all around Canada.
