A great infrastructure project on its way! This week, Canada and Ontario announced a joint investment project with Toronto’s Ronald McDonald House. The more than $26 million investment will serve to approximately 80 families with seriously ill children. Ronald McDonald House and the governments of Canada and Ontario are each going to invest about one third of the total cost.

John Baird, Canada’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, has declared that he is "proud to join with Ronald McDonald House to announce this project benefiting families in need, create jobs, and boost the local economy." The new house, located close to hospitals, will have 65 family bedrooms, 15 two-bedroom suites and other spaces. Its construction is going to begin in early 2010, and should be finished in 2011.

Looking forward to it! Seems like a great project helping children in need. A quite fair division of financing, too. Let’s hope it will work out fine!
