Great news! According to the newest study of the Conference Board of Canada released today, Toronto will have one of the fastest growing economies this year. A growth of 3.5 percent in Toronto economy is expected in 2010, which gives Toronto the second place in economic growth in Canada, right after Vancouver.
“All sectors of Toronto's economy are forecast to rebound in 2010.” claims the report. Construction and manufacturing will be the leaders, though. “Manufacturing output is expected to increase in Toronto this year for the first time since 2005.” states a news release of Conference Board. The economy of the predicted 2010 leader of the growth, Vancouver, is expected to grow by 4.5 percent. Very important factor in Vancouver are certainly the Olympics.
Pleasant information, right? Actually I am quite curious what would the results look like if there were no Olympics taking place in Vancouver this. I mean, how big would be the difference between Vancouver and Toronto then. They sure are not the only factor influencing the growth in the city, but they are pretty significant.
