The second annual Social Media Week (SMW), a 5-day international conference consisting of events in Toronto, London, New York, San Francisco, Sao Paulo and Berlin is right behind the door, starting February 1st. The aim of every event is, according to the SMW website, to advance the use and understanding of social media in the corporate, public and non-profit sectors.

In every city, conferences, seminars, discussions, workshops and receptions are organized. Furthermore, The SMW website broadcasts the events in all participating cities, thus anyone with internet connection can watch them and be perfectly informed about everything going on during the week.

Here in Toronto, you will be able to enjoy, among others - the “Personal branding to Compete in the 21st Century Marketplace“ workshop, “An Honest Conversation” about social media or a discussion with the central question “How do you raise money if you’re not Barack Obama?”.

Interested? Check out the website of Social Media Week to register as soon as possible. Or for a more comfortable option, watch all the events online from your home. And enjoy, it’s a great honor for Toronto to take part in such an interesting event.
