Dalton McGuinty, Premier of Ontario has called Toronto Centre by-election to replace George Smitherman, who has decided to run for Toronto Mayor. The elections are going to take place on February 4, 2010, signaling January full of campaigns.
The candidates of four parties have been officially announced. The Liberal party has selected former Winnipeg mayor Glen Murray and the Green Party has chosen employment specialist Stefan Premdas. Females are not missing either. The candidate of the Conservative party is a community leader, businesswoman Pamela Taylor and the New Democratic Party has nominated a housing activist Cathy Crowe, known for fighting for better shelter facilities in Toronto.
Toronto Centre residents, now it’s up to you which of these candidates you are going to choose. Think it through carefully; I really hope your choice will be the right one and you will be satisfied with the results. Looking forward to hear them in February.
