Toronto Councilors vs. Activists

The citizens of Toronto deserve to be treated fair! Activists are of this opinion and are now reaching some results. In April, 23 of the city councilors and the City of Toronto will be in court, defending charges of an activist group, which claims that they breached the law.

"We are tired - we've had enough as residents of the City of Toronto with regard to the way money is being spent at city hall," says Stephen Thiele the Toronto Party. According to the party, the councilors overlooked the advice of the city solicitor and thus voted to cover costs related to the election campaign from 2006. And that is not in conformity with the law.

Way to go, guys! Good to defend what one believes in. And yes, we should not be lied to; we deserve to know the whole truth. If the councilors of our city are taking wrong steps, they should take all the responsibility and people ought to be informed about it.
