Canada's Economic Action Plan is going to concentrate on the valued Woodside National Historic Site, here in Ontario. Big investments there, up to $451,000, should guarantee that the site, open to public from May to December; will be “maintained for future generations while generating important economic benefits for our local community.” Peter Braid, Member of Parliament for Kitchener-Waterloo has declared.
"The Government of Canada is working to preserve and protect our special places while continuing to invest for the economic future of Canada," Braid further said. About $374 millions from the Action Plan are going to be spent for improvements and protection of national parks and historic sites.
Thanks to that, quite a few jobs in tourism and construction will be created, and that will help the employment situation in our country to improve, not only in Ontario, but in all parts of Canada. Anyhow, it is great; we definitely ought to protect the valued heritage in our country.
