Toronto is cool! At least according to the article in US Today from yesterday, written by Christine Sarkis from SmarterTravel.com, Toronto belongs to top 5 top destinations for spring 2010. Other four are Jamaica, Hawaii, Panama City Beach and also Gatlinburg in Tennessee.

As Sarkis claims, even though right now Vancouver is in the centre of attention thanks to the Olympics, during spring, Toronto will be the biggest Canadian star. With new air service, it is going to be much easier and also cheaper to get to the city (especially for US citizens). Moreover, sales, hotels and attractions with reasonable prices make Toronto interesting and enjoyable even for people with less money.

Honestly, I did not really expect such a great result. Being among 5 best destinations for a nice holiday is a big honor, I think. Interestingly, most of the places on the top list are pretty exotic, while Toronto is a normal, even though attractive, big city.
