Price for home sales increased by Edward Simpson
According to the new Market Watch report released yesterday by the Toronto Real Estate Board, the number of home sales in Greater Toronto Area increased by 77 percent this past month, since February 2009. Exactly 7,291 sales through the Multiple Listing Service were reported in the area this February.
Average price for home sales also increased since February 2009 to this February – by 19 percent to as much as $431,509. There was a rise in median price over the year, too – from $312,900 to $366,300. The same goes for new listings, which rose from 10,239 in February 2009 to 12,726 last month, and that means a 24 percent rise.
