Miller Not Happy About the Federal Budget

Not happy about the federal budget by Victor Bezrukov
As I mentioned in my last article, the new federal budget was just unveiled. This fact has brought quite a strong, and not really happy, reaction of Toronto Mayor David Miller. The reason of his dissatisfaction with the budget is that it only includes a couple of request of our city.
“The so-called recovery so far has left 10 percent of Torontonians on the sidelines – people that are without work.” Miller said. He thinks the government has simply disappointed Toronto. Something very important for our city – the transit strategy, was not included in the budget, and Miller reacted to that. He believes that the lack of new money for transit is “particularly short-sighted”.
The budget, David Miller further added does not show at all a vision of Canada and how it is going to make sure that our country will succeed, especially in big cities. Well, I guess Miller expressed his opinion right after checking out the budget. I’m not saying it’s great, but it is better to calmly realize what it’s all about and then react.
