Football fans from the Toronto area, here is some good news for you! As the Canadian Football League Commissioner, Mark Cohon, announced at the end of last week in Toronto, the 2012 Grey Cup game – the 100th one in the history, is going to take place at the Rogers Center in the city.
This is not the first time Toronto has hosted a Grey Cup game. Actually, it hosted one just couple of years ago, in 2007 and even the first Grey Cup ever, was played at the same stadium. It nevertheless is a great honor that our city will host the event celebrating its great anniversary. This year, Grey Cup is going to take place in Edmonton with Vancouver being its venue next year.
Cool, isn't it? I cannot say I'm really surprised. Toronto is fantastic for events like this. I am just happy for all the attention it is getting! We can definitely expect many sport fans coming in 2012!
