The results of yet another public opinion poll regarding the Mayoral elections in Toronto have been published. As the Ipsos Reid telephone survey showed, the transit/transportation issue will be the most important one the future Mayor of Toronto will have to deal with, according to the public. About 16 percent of respondents believe so.

The second top problem in the opinion of people, is budget/deficit/debt which received 10 percent of the votes, followed by high taxes with 9 percent and economy/jobs with 8 percent. Robert Ford seems to be the most popular candidate according to this poll, too. Approximately 27 percent of Torontians agree that it is Ford who has the best plans to make the city better. The next most popular figure is Smitherman, with 16 percent of the votes.

Nevertheless, 35 percent of surveyed Torontians have no idea which candidate has the best plan for the future of Toronto. Therefore, even though Ford’s victory seems to be quite clear so far, with so many people undecided, anyone could win.
