Toronto: An Awesome City

You may have noticed the large number of articles I write about Toronto. It's natural, since I live here, and though I admit I might be a little biased, I honestly believe it’s one of the greatest cities on earth. Why do I think so? That’s what I want to discuss in this article.
Many call Toronto Canada’s New York and yes; these two cities are somewhat similar. New York City is amazing but it is just a little too fastpaced and concrete-jungle for my taste. In my opinion Toronto is a much better place to live in, I could never quite get used to the hectic atmosphere of NYC. Toronto is also feels very safe to me, when compared to other large cities.
At the same time, Toronto is cosmopolitan and multicultural. Those who enjoy diverse cultures are going to love it. You can meet people from everywhere around the globe, who are actually able to enjoy living according to their own lifestyle and customs. If you like foreign cuisine or exotic music, there is no a problem finding it in this city either. Toronto is, to put it simply, a melting pot of many different cultures.
One of the most interesting aspects of the city are its unique neighbourhoods. They each seem to have their own specific atmosphere and style. You can choose to live in a district which suits your taste. Each neighbourhood has a varied selection of amazing restaurants, you don‘t have to go far to have a delicious meal wherever you live.
There‘s always something to do in Toronto! I think it‘s almost impossible to be bored in this city with all the concerts, music/street festivals, parades and various other events that happen year round. Furthermore, there are a lot of restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs in the city for those who like to go out for a bite to eat, or sip on a beverage. Shopaholics can also find what they are looking for with shops from boutiques to box stores!
To offer some actual statistics about how great it is to live in Toronto, I want to draw your attention to the just announced 2010 list of the Most Liveable Cities in the World released by the Economist Intelligence Unit. Toronto ranked very well, finishing in fourth place. It looks like it is not only my opinion that Toronto is a very liveable city!
