Great news for people who love to travel! As the Toronto Port Authority said in a statement released on Friday, Air Canada will start flying out of Toronto’s island airport (Billy Bishop Airport) starting on May 1st of this year.
A deal between the airline and the company which owns the only terminal at the airport has finally been reached. Air Canada’s original plan was to start flights out of the Billy Bishop airport in February but, as the two sides couldn‘t reach an agreement, it did not happen. In less than two months, the air carrier will offer about 15 daily flights to Montreal’s Trudeau International Airport. Tickets will go on sale on March 7th, so if you are planning to visit Montreal anytime soon, you can definitely start planning!
Fabulous! The fact that the Toronto area residents will have more opportunities to travel is awesome, let’s enjoy it as much as possible.
