Pilaros Taste of the Danforth attracts thousands of people each year

Summer in Toronto is simply unforgettable. The city comes to life with its many street festivals and hosts a number of famous, international festivals. There is something to do every week! Street parades, food tastings, live shows — they are the best introduction to the warmth and friendliness that is Toronto. Everybody is welcome to enjoy an exciting multicultural experience!

Pilaros Taste of the Danforth

The Greektown Taste of the Danforth sponsored by Pilaros is one of Toronto’s signature events organized by Toronto’s local communities every summer. Canada’s largest street festival welcomes over 1.3 million visitors who flock to the Danforth to enjoy a perfect August weekend with a taste of the best of Hellenic food and culture. “The Essence of Life,” the olives and olive oil, are the main ingredients of Greek cuisine. The main sponsor of the event is Pilaros International Trading Inc., a leading importer of Mediterranean food products. Grab a souvlaki or mezes and walk in the sun to live music or games! Running along the Danforth from Broadview to Jones Avenue, get lost in the crowd in approximately three kilometres of Greek fun! Our lovely  Greektown was also the main location for the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

This year the festival took over the weekend from August 10th to 12th. Even though the sky was not perfectly clear, the crowd was huge! Take a look at the amazing atmosphere that filled the streets.
