Toronto Restaurants Guide

These are some of the restaurants we visit regularly in Toronto.

  • Bier Markt Restaurant & Bar Review

Being on the lookout for a high quality bar or lounge in Toronto, I was pleasantly surprised when I was introduced to Bier Markt by some friends.

  • Restaurant Review: China House

China House perfectly represents a different time. The gigantic neon signs above the landmark building have been restored with a tip of the hat to the glory days.

  • Restaurant Review: The Counter

The Thompson Hotel, 550 Wellington Street West (Bathurst) has a resto which is open 24/7 and serves one of the thickest, gooiest, yummiest PB and J sandwiches.

  • Restaurant Review: EPIC

Expectations were high but lunch at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel’s restaurant was under the wire. We have a five star staff, a five star room and a three...

  • Real Steak, No Haute Here!

Seniors Dining Nook, 1397 Yonge Street. Enjoy yourself and take home the rest for your four-legged buddy. Portions are adequate for six legs – your two and his four!

  • There Is Good and There Is Excellent

Harbour 60 Steakhouse Review. Harbour 60 is MUCH more than a steakhouse. It is one of, if not the finest restaurant in town. Address: 60 Harbour Street Toronto

  • Ruby Watch Co.

With the celebrity status of chef, staff and general notoriety, this is a new hot place in development. Be prepared to wait a while to get your reservation.

  • Chimichanga

The newest Mexican restaurant. Sister to the Yonge and Eglinton eatery, this smaller version has a similar menu but is just a little more chic than uptown.

  • The Lobster Trap

Located a couple of blocks north of Lawrence on Avenue Road, this was one of a few places we all went for a fancy Sunday night for dinner.

  • KOKO

Every once in a while, a foodie is exposed to new and unique taste sensations. Such is the new fusion of Japanese and Korean served at Koko on Yorkville.

  • Cafe Leopold

One of my favorites in St. Clair West neighbourhood is Cafe Leopold. Those who dined at Pastis on Yonge will marvel at Chef Claude's new home.

  • Serra Ristorante Review

Splendid Mediterranean food, regal desserts and Italian coffee. Service a little bit sleepy if not unfriendly.

  • Sabatino’s Restaurant

Nice atmosphere, great service, nothing wrong with the food. But nothing exceptional that a decent amateur cook couldn't make him or herself.

  • The Regal Heights Bistro Review

It's a small place, with oak bench seating as well as wood tables with cast-iron bases. Gothic-style chandeliers cast a warm glow over everything...

  • Quince Restaurant Review

Quince falls into the category of a must-try – a Mediterranean-inspired bistro with reasonable prices and a reputation for fresh, innovative flavours.

  • The Stockyards Review: The Stockyards Smokehouse & Larder

The Stockyards is a new kid on the block that's already been voted Toronto's Best Barbecue by NOW Magazine, scoring a perfect 5 out of 5 n's.

  • How Locavore became Trillium Bistro: The Death of a Fine Restaurant

Until two months ago, Locavore was North Toronto's hottest restaurant. All natural, locally produced ingredients and fine dining. Then it disappeared. Why?

  • Spice Route: A Great Place to Spice Up an Evening

Phenomenal décor, great lighting (everyone looks more glamorous at Spice Route), handrolled music, a first rate cocktails bar and well above average food.

  • Restaurant review: Le Paradis – Bijou in the Annex

If you are looking to unwind with old friends and good wine, or a location for a tryst in the Toronto Annex, Le Paradis is the ideal place.

Elli. You must check out Didier on Yonge, about half a block North of St.Clair. It’s French and it’s the best in Toronto. At least from my experience. Here’s a direct link to the menu: http://www.restaurantdidier.com/site/menu.php
